Policies:

Hours of Operation: 

The reception is open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Security workers will assist with late-night check-ins and limited customer requests.

Check-In Time:

·        Check-in is from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you need to check-in after 7:00 p.m., arrangements can be made with security until 10:00 p.m.

Check-Out Time: 

·        Check-out must be completed by noon,12 pm. A late fee of $10 per hour will be charged to your credit card if you do not check out by noon.

Early Check-In: 

·        We offer early check-in, based on availability, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for $10 per hour.

Late Check-Out: 

·        Late check-outs are only available on Sundays and must be pre-arranged and must be pre-arranged at the front desk. The cost of this is $10 per person. The late check-out is offered from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. only.

Luggage Storage: 

Complimentary luggage storage is available from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. before check-in. Luggage will be stored in our communal room next to the lobby at the owners risk. Please note that we do not provide luggage storage after check-out.

Late Night Departure:

If you need to leave before your scheduled check-out date, please notify the front desk manager or the after-hours security guard and return your key to them. Please be aware that there will be no refund for early departures. 

Room Change Policy: 

If you experience any issues with your room, please report them to the front desk manager during the day or the night guard after hours. If we are unable to resolve the issue promptly, we will offer you a room change, subject to availability.

Housekeeping:

 Rooms are cleaned/turned over every 2nd night. We do provide 1 beach towel and 1 pool towel in your room per guest. Please hang your towels to dry with the clothesline provided on the beachfront backpacks and door hooks in standard rooms. During the holiday week our towel service is limited we appreciate the reuse of towels during peak seasons.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES:

·        Extra Adults: $15 per person, per night plus tax.

·        Extra Children: $10 per night for children aged 3 to 12 years old, plus tax.

·        Children Under 4: Stay free if using an existing bed.

·        Children Aged 5 to 17: Stay for $10 per child, per night plus tax.

·        Cots and Extra Beds: Not available. (Please note: Family Rooms include 2 queen beds and 1 single bed.)

 Upgrade Room Fees:

To upgrade to a beachfront room, the fee is $25 per night, subject to availability.

 WIFI:

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas.

RULES & FINES:

No Restaurant/Bar Service: We offer a communal sitting area for guests to eat small, packed meals.

No Cooking: Cooking is not permitted on the property or in rooms. A fine of $100 will be charged to your credit card, and you will be required to vacate the property without compensation.

No Loud Music/Pool Protocols: The pools are for all guests to enjoy. Loud music, boom boxes, glass containers, and food containers are not allowed. Disturbances may result in eviction without compensation and fines up to $250 for damages.

No Food Storage: We do not store food, medicines, or perishables at the front desk. If you need to keep important items cool, please rent a room with a mini fridge.

No Smoking: Smoking, vaping, or using hookahs of any kind is prohibited on the property, in accordance with local health regulations. A $100 fine will be charged if you are reported smoking onsite. Designated smoking areas are available on the river’s edge grassy area and on the beach as per Costa Rican law.

Mandatory Wristbands: All guests must wear a wristband upon check-in while staying on the property. Failure to wear your wristband may result in a $50 fine and early departure from the property.

Free Parking for Registered Guests Only: All vehicles must vacate the premises by check-out time to avoid fines of up to $20 per hour. Guests with vehicles are required to register their license plate number at the front desk for security purposes. 

Large Vehicles: Large vehicles should exercise caution when entering the front gate and parking area. Due to limited space and visibility, street parking is available for large tour buses.

Health & Accidents: We recommend that all guests obtain their own accident insurance for health and personal property. Additionally, vehicles must have their own liability insurance.

Theft or Damage: The hotel is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles or personal belongings. All guests are encouraged to travel with their own travel liability insurance, as the hotel cannot be held accountable for any theft or loss of personal property in the buildings or on common grounds.

Dog Policy: ONLY 1 DOG is allowed in a room. It must be small. Please refer to the standard dog-friendly room policy available in our room description on our website. We do not offer dog-friendly rooms through any extranets; reservations can only be made directly through our website. 

Beach Break Resort is an exceptional, budget-friendly hotel located right on the beach, surrounded by 5 acres of tropical gardens and featuring four separate pools. We offer daily surf lessons, but please note that there is no restaurant or bar on the property. However, several eateries are within a 10-minute walk outside our front gate, as well as along the beach. We hope you enjoy the Pura Vida lifestyle at Beach Break Resort!
